This insulation is designed for the latest EURO 6 / EURO 5 exhaust systems and is characterized by high durability and resistance to very high temperatures of up to 1000°C. Due to the complexity of modern engines, exhaust systems currently in use are installed in tight enclosures. This creates a serious risk of fire due to excessive heating of the surroundings by the hot exhaust gases passing through the pipes. Adequate protection involves thermally insulating the components of the exhaust system in such a way that the heat from the exhaust gases does not escape through the walls of the pipes, mufflers, or catalytic converters.
